On-Site TIG Welding
for Vacuum Equipment
YTI provides on-site TIG welding and field fabrication support for vacuum chambers, coating systems, manifolds, tubing, ports, brackets, supports, adapters, cooling hardware, and related process equipment. When a system cannot easily be removed, shipped, or taken offline for shop work, YTI can evaluate and perform qualified field welding as part of a repair, modification, retrofit, or larger service project.
Field welding where the equipment is installed
On-site TIG welding for vacuum chambers, process systems and production equipment
Some vacuum-equipment welding jobs are not practical to move into a fabrication shop. The chamber may be too large, the system may be integrated into a production line, or the repair may need to happen directly at the customer facility to minimize disruption.
YTI’s on-site TIG welding service is intended for vacuum and process equipment where field repair, modification, or integration is the practical path. The work is reviewed in the context of chamber geometry, sealing surfaces, ports, manifolds, pump interfaces, tubing, source hardware, cooling connections, service access, and the surrounding equipment.
For shop-based welding and fabrication, see vacuum welding, silver brazing & soldering services. If custom parts must be machined before field installation, see custom vacuum machining services.

On-site TIG welding capabilities
Each field-welding project is scoped around the equipment condition, material, access, contamination risk, vacuum requirement, joint location, surrounding components, and the work that must happen before and after welding.
Field TIG Welding
TIG welding performed at the customer facility for vacuum-related repair, modification, retrofit, and equipment-integration work.
Vacuum Chamber Modifications
Support for added or modified ports, brackets, supports, mounts, chamber hardware, and other field-installed changes.
Ports, Manifolds & Tubing
Repair or modification of selected vacuum ports, manifolds, tubing, cooling lines, supports, fittings, and related fabricated assemblies.
Repair of Damaged Hardware
Evaluate damaged brackets, ports, supports, manifolds, tubing, chamber hardware, and fabricated components for repair or replacement.
Retrofit & Repurposing Work
Field welding support for equipment conversions, chamber repurposing, pump changes, source changes, added hardware, and new process requirements.
Machined Parts + Field Installation
Combine separately machined flanges, adapters, plates, brackets, or interfaces with field installation and welding when the project requires both capabilities.

Can field welding be part of a larger service call?
When moving the equipment is not practical
Common reasons customers need on-site TIG welding
Large Chamber Cannot Be Shipped
The vacuum chamber or system is too large, integrated, or difficult to remove, making field repair or modification the practical option.
Production Equipment Is Installed in Place
The equipment is connected to utilities, pumps, controls, ducting, sources, or production infrastructure that would make removal disruptive or costly.
A Port or Bracket Needs to Be Added
A process change, source addition, feedthrough change, pump retrofit, sensor, or service requirement creates the need for new chamber hardware.
Existing Hardware Is Damaged
A chamber port, support, manifold, bracket, tubing assembly, or other fabricated component needs repair without replacing the complete system.
Used Equipment Is Being Repurposed
An older vacuum chamber or process system needs field modifications so it can support a new pump, source, process, layout, or production requirement.
Field Fitment Is Required
The exact fit or geometry can only be finalized with the equipment assembled in place, making on-site fabrication and welding the better path.

What an on-site TIG welding service call can include
Pre-Visit Review
Review equipment photos, drawings, access, materials if known, system condition, utilities, required modification, and the production impact before scheduling field work.
Site & Equipment Assessment
Evaluate the actual equipment, surrounding hardware, access, contamination concerns, service condition, and whether the planned repair or modification is practical on site.
Preparation & Fit-Up
Prepare the work area and components for the approved field repair, modification, or installation scope.
TIG Welding & Modification
Perform the approved TIG welding, hardware repair, component fitment, port work, bracket work, manifold work, or related field modification.
Integration Support
Support reassembly, pump or chamber integration, interface fitment, hardware installation, and related system work required after welding.
Leak Check / Service Follow-Up
Where included in the project scope, YTI can support leak checking, troubleshooting, startup, and continued service work after the welding or modification is complete.
