Yes. Legacy equipment is an important part of YTI’s work. Depending on the application, YTI may be able to repair original equipment, refurbish assemblies, reproduce obsolete mechanical parts, replace aging electronics, upgrade controls, or repurpose an existing system.

Yes. Production-down situations can be treated as emergency requests. YTI offers 24/7 on-site service capability and advertises emergency response within 48 hours.

Yes. YTI can troubleshoot coating rate, film thickness, adhesion, uniformity, base pressure, leaks, pump-down time, deposition source performance, controls, gauging, cryogenic performance, and other system-level problems.

Poor base pressure can result from real leaks, virtual leaks, contamination, damaged seals, outgassing, valve problems, roughing pump issues, diffusion pump problems, cryopump performance, incorrect sequencing, or inaccurate vacuum measurement. YTI can evaluate the complete pumping system rather than assuming a single component is responsible.

Yes. Leak detection can be used to isolate leaks in vacuum chambers, feedthroughs, fittings, seals, welds, pumping systems, and connected vacuum hardware.

Yes. Preventive maintenance can include inspection, leak checks, pump evaluation, cryogenic system review, electronics and control checks, cleaning, documentation, critical-spares recommendations, and identification of equipment likely to cause future downtime.

Repair generally addresses a specific failure. Refurbishment is a deeper process that may include complete teardown, cleaning, inspection, replacement of worn components, leak correction, resealing, electronics work, rebuilding, reassembly, and testing.

YTI can evaluate equipment age, condition, service history, replacement cost, component availability, production requirements, and future reliability before recommending repair, refurbishment, modernization, or replacement.

Incomplete cooldown may result from refrigerant loss, restrictions, compressor problems, cooling conditions, excessive heat load, controls, sensors, cryocoil problems, or another issue in the refrigeration circuit or connected vacuum system.

Yes. YTI provides refrigerant recharge service for compatible cryogenic equipment. A suspected refrigerant loss should also be evaluated for leaks or another underlying refrigeration problem.

YTI supports customers nationwide. Contact the team with your facility location, equipment, and production urgency so the appropriate field-service or depot-service plan can be determined.

On-site service is useful for installed production systems, active downtime, system-level diagnostics, and equipment that cannot easily be removed. Depot service is often better for complete teardown, machining, electronics work, full refurbishment, and extended testing.

Yes, depending on the equipment and approved service scope. Contact YTI before shipping equipment so the team can confirm the project, receiving information, and any required preparation.

• Overall equipment photos
• Current symptoms
• Error messages or alarms
• Normal versus current performance
• Recent repairs or changes
• Facility location
• Production urgency

Yes. Photos of equipment nameplates, control panels, piping, vacuum connections, alarms, components, and the overall installation are encouraged and can help with the initial technical review.

That is not a problem. Contact YTI with the equipment, symptoms, and process issue. Vacuum system problems are often caused by interactions between pumps, chambers, electronics, controls, cryogenics, utilities, and process conditions rather than one obvious failed component.
