Complete CVC 6-inch diffusion pump stacks
YTI currently has six CVC 6-inch diffusion pump stacks immediately available for purchase. A pump stack can be particularly useful when replacing or rebuilding older vacuum equipment because it may provide more of the connected high-vacuum pumping assembly than a standalone diffusion pump.
CVC, or Consolidated Vacuum Corporation, produced diffusion pumps and pumping equipment used extensively in legacy coating, metallizing, research and industrial vacuum systems. Many of these systems remain productive today because the underlying diffusion-pump technology is serviceable and replacement heaters, seals and related components can still be evaluated or sourced.
Historical CVC documentation includes six-inch PMC and PMCS diffusion-pump families. Reference specifications for the PMCS-6B show approximately 1,400 liters per second air pumping speed, water cooling and a six-cartridge heater arrangement.
The exact model and components included in YTI’s individual pump stacks should be confirmed from the physical equipment rather than assumed from those historical references. Before purchase, YTI can identify the pump, high-vacuum valve, baffle or trap, foreline hardware, backing equipment and other components present on the selected stack.
