Complete Varian HS-35 high-vacuum pump stack
YTI currently has one complete Varian HS-35 diffusion pump stack immediately available for purchase. The stack is intended for large industrial high-vacuum systems where an HS-35-class pumping package is required.
The HS-35 is a large diffusion pump designed for demanding industrial processes such as vacuum coating, metallizing, heat treatment, vacuum furnaces, optical coating and other high-throughput applications.
Agilent’s current NHS-35 factory specifications list approximately 28,000 liters per second air pumping speed, approximately 35,000 liters per second for helium and hydrogen, 24 kW pump power and a 35-inch ASA or ISO 1000F inlet.
Those values describe the diffusion pump itself. The performance of an installed pump stack also depends on the high-vacuum valve, baffle or cold cap, chamber conductance, foreline, backing pump, cooling system, controls and physical condition of the complete assembly.
For that reason, YTI should document the actual components included with this physical stack before it is quoted or installed. If the available equipment does not directly match the customer’s system, YTI can also review refurbishment, fabrication, controls and integration requirements.
