Varian 2HS-20 diffusion pump for high-vacuum systems
YTI currently has two Varian 2HS-20 diffusion pumps available for purchase or rental. The 20-inch Varian HS pump family was designed for high-throughput industrial vacuum applications where dependable pumping speed and relatively simple diffusion-pump construction make the equipment practical for long-term production use.
Applications for pumps in this size class include vacuum coating, thermal processing, metallizing, heat treatment, optical coating, electronics manufacturing and other industrial processes requiring reliable high vacuum.
These YTI units also offer an advantage over a basic used-equipment listing because heater and paint customization can be discussed before the pump is placed back into service. That can be useful when matching an existing electrical installation, restoring older equipment or preparing a replacement pump for a production system.
YTI can also evaluate an existing Varian diffusion pump instead of automatically replacing it. Depending on condition, refurbishment may include complete disassembly, decontamination, cleaning, jet-stack inspection, heater evaluation, replacement seals, new pump fluid, leak testing and return-to-service verification.
